N-able is seeking an Associate Applications Engineer to join us on this exciting journey! As a company, we believe that capable and confident people are key to driving results. As we continue to grow our footprint throughout the world, we’ve created an amazing opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team. This position requires someone who has strong communication and interpersonal skills to compliment a technical background / aptitude resulting in an excellent standard of support for our partners. Our engineers need to be able to apply critical thinking to make decisions about how to prioritize workloads and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
What You'll Do
- Please note this is a hybrid position, therefore office attendance in the Morrisville, NC collaboration hub is required.
- Identify, develop and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction
- Manage troubleshooting coordination at a local and international level where required
- Ability to manage configuration changes and monitor further performance
- Assist in design and development of new product features
- Maintain and update technical documents and procedures
- Assist with systems integrations and applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
- Daily cross functional collaboration with hardware product development and Devops to provide the best troubleshooting possible practices to our partners and incorporate partners feedback into software product development
- Work on escalations and critical incidents to obtain the best possible outcome of the issue for the partners and the company
- Ensure the software continues to work properly after maintenance
- Perform technical and product trainings
- Use our incident management system combined with autonomy over personal caseload to prioritize incidents and manage the load in line with our Service and experience Level Objectives
- Adhere to security best practices and process
What You'll Bring
- Technical degree/diploma and minimum 3-5 years of experience as a support/system or application engineer
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills with understanding of technical support principles and ability to troubleshoot highly complex issues
- Strong customer service skills, effective listening and ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written, in English.
- Enjoys complex problem-solving and collaboration
